This program takes you directly to the merchandise and the decision-makers through industry visits to corporate offices, hands-on internships, and guest speakers in the classroom where you will interact with buyers, product developers, trend forecasters, and account executives. Courses incorporate trips to flagship stores, unique pop-up shops, and fashion exhibitions at renowned museums, making New York City an extension of your classroom experience. Participate in New York Fashion Week for a behind-the-scenes view of the shows you’ve watched from afar. You’ll study fashion business, marketing, product development, buying, planning, fashion forecasting, and management as you learn to combine your sense of style with business acumen.

One-year and one-semester programs in Fashion Business Management are at FIT’s campus in Florence. Other programs are available in London and Nottingham (UK), Melbourne, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.

Students are in charge of every aspect of the campus Style Shop: buying and planning, merchandising, product development, marketing, and sales. The boutique sells clothing, accessories, and jewelry, some of it designed by FIT students, faculty, and alumni.
