JAY AND PATTY BAKER SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY

This program educates students to play pivotal roles in product management, focusing on the diverse range of home furnishings, including home textiles and housewares. Tailored for the dynamic multibillion-dollar home furnishings industry, the program equips you with essential skills to manage and market the development process from initial concept to market launch for home products. Students learn to recognize consumer trends, identify market opportunities, and generate product ideas. Direct engagement with industry professionals provides important insights into product categories, sourcing, supply chain management, target marketing, branding, and licensing. You will develop industry connections through internships, mentoring, industry-sponsored workshops, domestic and international trade shows, and showroom visits.

Materials and Manufacturing Processes, Home Textile Applications, Licensing and Brand Management, Strategic Product Development, Marketing and Management of Home Products, and Capstone, in which students develop a home product concept from production to consumer

CAREER OUTCOMES

Alumni build careers in product development, product management, trend forecasting, merchandising, showroom management, licensing and brand management, retail management in the home industries, marketing in home furnishings, sales, and design.
