In this program you will master the process of brand development and packaging design for consumer-packaged goods across all product categories, including food and beverage, health and beauty, home goods, electronics, pet care, and more. The curriculum combines aspects of 2D graphics and brand identity, packaging structure and 3D design realization, e-commerce, sustainability, and packaging materials. It covers a range of global retail packaging design considerations—marketing trends, brand communication, and omnichannel brand applications—all driving consumer purchasing decisions. You’ll be immersed in design strategy and innovation, category and consumer research and emerging trends, design development, digital design tools, and production processes. Through this program, you will learn to blend marketing insight with an understanding of people, culture, and the consumer mindset to capture consumer attention and create memorable brand experiences. The program culminates with senior-level projects and a presentation for an industry portfolio review.
