ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE

Images are everywhere in our culture, from the smallest personal device to the largest public venue. In this program, you’ll become part of the visual revolution. You’ll study with accomplished professionals who help you craft exceptional photographs and develop a personal vision. You’ll learn about lighting, composition, retouching, and professional business practices. Students gain hands-on experience in both studio and location settings, exploring portraiture, fashion, still life, documentary, and video art. In your last semester, you’ll be challenged to create work that’s provocative, evocative, relevant, and timeless.

CAREER OUTCOMES
Graduates enter the industry as studio assistants, commercial photographers, editorial photographers, video editors, photography directors, curators, photo editors at magazines and stock agencies, art buyers at advertising agencies, and retouchers.
Angelina D’Auguste ’15 created a series of striking portraits of people with albinism of different ages and ethnicities; the project appeared in the Art and Design Graduating Student Exhibition.
Students with an AAS in Photography and Related Media may apply to this BFA program. Students with other AAS degrees may require additional coursework. Learn more about 2+2
